Estimating · Central Kentucky
Bid support for builders who don’t have an estimator.
You are turning down invitations to bid because there are not enough hours in the week to price them. Plans in by Thursday. A priced bid back Monday morning, with every assumption written down so you can check every line before you sign it.
How it works
Plans in. Priced bid out.
No meetings to schedule and nothing to install. The whole thing runs on email.
Send what you got
Drawings, the invitation to bid, and how you carry markup. If a spec book came with it, send that too.
We take off and price it
Quantities off the drawings, priced against current central Kentucky material and sub numbers.
You get it back Monday
A priced bid and a scope sheet, with every assumption and every field-verification item listed.
The bid is yours. You set the markup, you sign it, you own the number. We do the takeoff and the pricing underneath it.
Every line is checkable. Nothing is buried in a spreadsheet you cannot open.
Pricing
Priced per bid, or monthly.
One won bid pays for a year of this. That is the whole argument.
| Per bid | $650 to $1,500, quoted on the plan set before we start. In by Thursday, out Monday. |
|---|---|
| Monthly | $1,500 a month for up to three bids on one building type, plus a job-cost review at month end. Offered once you have seen two of our bids, not before. |
| One bidder | We price a job for one bidder only. If a competitor sends the same set, they get told no. |
| Lane | Building work for small general contractors and subs. We stay out of electrical infrastructure and utility scopes. |
- Priced from the documents you provide, subject to field verification.
- A takeoff is a cost opinion, not a guarantee of cost.
- Where a job needs it, you also get the board we run our own jobs on, at no charge.
Who does the work
One person, and you will know his name.
Eli Hart. He prices electrical infrastructure work for a large regional contractor and is finishing a construction management degree at Eastern Kentucky University.
Hartwood runs its own construction operation here in Lexington on the same board and the same job-cost setup we hand clients.
Send a set of plans
Send one live job and see what comes back.
First takeoff is free if you are sizing us up. This goes straight to Eli.
Got it.
Eli will come back to you within one business day to tell you what he needs to price it. If the bid is tight, call or text (859) 361-9320.
